Under the Sun: Nisí’s Ode to Light and Life

Under the Sun: Nisí’s Ode to Light and Life

There is a kind of magic that lives in sunlight, the kind that kisses your skin after a long swim, warms your back as you paddle into a new set, and lights up the shoreline like a stage.

Our new swim collection is an ode to that golden warmth, to the sun in all her forms, and the freedom she awakens in us. All created and written by Lucia Tuffley.

Accompanying this collection are artworks and poems that speak to the intimacy we share with the sun and sea. Bold, elemental sketches of women holding stars, swirling suns, and celestial waves reflect the feminine energy that powers this drop. These drawings are playful yet sacred, calling in myth and memory; the goddess, the swimmer, the shell diver.

One poem whispers:

“It's right now I'm sure / She loves us more than ever / like we're hers / like we're one in the same light”

These pieces capture the feeling of being entirely present in your body, salt touched, sun warmed, and free.

"The curve of my side and the tips of my fingers \ the salt on my cheeks and warmth when it lingers \ the sway of my hips and the sound of the waves \ oh my love for the sun and today \ sweet today"

From star spangled fish to wavy lines of the ocean, this visual language invites you into our world, one where sun worship isn’t just aesthetic, but ancestral. Where the light is more than just a backdrop, it’s a character, a guide, and a source of strength.

"The sun spilled across the sea and bounced up against our cheeks \ we just closed our eyes and smiled \ warmth pressed into our backs and against our bellies as we stretched out over the rocks \ we let the waves send us into midday slumbers"

Each swimsuit in the collection is crafted to echo this ethos: earthy warmth, hand-drawn motifs, and silhouettes that feel both nostalgic and empowered. A love letter to island life, to surf days and starry nights, to being kissed by the elements.

As always, this collection is made in limited runs, designed with care, and meant to be lived in, soaked, stretched, and sun drenched.

Welcome to the season of light.
