Please use our size charts as a general guide to help you select your size for our ecoprene suits. If you have a specific sizing question or would like more information, please e-mail: info@nisicllective.com
-
Your wetsuit should be a snug fit when new and will loosen off ever so slightly once wet. Your wetsuit should be like a second skin, keeping you warm and comfortable
If the arms and legs are a little long or short, that is ok.
The torso and collar must be tight enough to hold out water, but not tight to the point it restricts your breathing.
The crotch and butt area should not be too loose where it folds or fills with too much water.
-
Our wetsuit collection is best suited for Spring/Summer climates, hence the use of the word “Springsuit”.
Despite our suits being insulating from the cold, your arms and legs will be exposed. We recommend wearing our suits in water temperatures of up to 18-23 C or 65-75 F and over.

Wetsuits are an investment of money and your time to keep you warm and comfortable in the water.

Wetsuits come in several thicknesses measured in millimeters. The thickness of the wetsuit determines what temperatures it accommodates. In general, wetsuits come in five thicknesses:0.5 – 1 mm
2 mm
3 mm
4 mm
5+ mmAnything over 5mm tends to be a specialty product that you don’t need unless you’re swimming in the arctic. Each thickness matches a water temperature range;
> 22 degrees celsius – no wetsuit required
18-23 degrees celsius – 0.5mm to 2/1mm
16-20 degrees celsius – 2mm to 3/2mm
14-17 degrees celsius – 3/2mm to 4/3mm11-14 degrees celsius – 4/3mm to 5/4/3mm
0-11 degrees celsius – 5/4mm to 5/4/3mm
< 5 degrees celsius – 6/5mm to 6/5/4mm
Remember that water temps aren’t everything. An icy wind, air temperature, your sensitivity, and your activity all make a difference.

What makes Nisi wetsuits different?
Nisi Wetsuits come in seperates for spring/summer climates.

-
Nisi wetsuits are exclusively made from Ecoprene; Yamamoto Japanese limestone and BIO-SS, Bio-based neoprene. This is an eco-friendly alternative to regular petroleum based neoprene. Our mineral compounded ecoprene is impermeable, durable, lighter, warmer and extra stretchy.
-
In the 1960s a new type of neoprene was pioneered by Japan's Yamamoto Corporation.
Instead of regular neoprene, compounding of harmful petroleum chloroprene, Ecoprene is mined from calcium carbonate limestone to form chloroprene rubber chips. These chips are then melted down and infused with air bubbles, causing a result of a high micro-cell structure.
Having more air bubbles than regular neoprene, it is impermeable, lighter, warmer and extra stretchy.
-
Wetsuits are skin-tight, and are ideal for cold water, protection and allow you to move around easily. Drysuits on the other hand, are loose fitting, not designed for warmth and keep all water out completely.

A note on returning wetsuits / neoprene:
Please fold the wetsuit neatly with the zipper exposed and not touching any neoprene (nor any other neoprene items if sending back several wetsuit pieces). This is because the neoprene surface is delicate and subject to marking / creasing.
You do not need to include any cards that were included in your original package. Please ensure that hang tags on your swimwear items are not marking the surface of the neoprene wetsuits.
